(Machado too even though they've already said they wouldn't.)
This management team is delusional, from the owner down to the GM. It's virtually impossible to leap frog that many teams and make the playoffs, especially since we don't have any great starters. You can only lean on your bullpen so much.
Maybe somehow, they can still arrange a trade involving Britton, though I can't see how he'd clear waivers to make that happen.
vilnius b.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02872502926590063013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-49913588401735396692017-07-31T19:07:00.846-04:002017-07-31T19:07:00.846-04:00Nate you should have replied 'I don't see ...Nate you should have replied 'I don't see Trump as a viable option at DH or in the corner OF or as President."

A chance for a slam dunk and you go for the lay up. However, unless Sisco sees time in MLB this September (it's possible), I don't think he starts with the team right out of the gate in 2018. Also, with Joseph, the need at catcher isn't as great as it is at other positions.

I see Mullins in the same boat as Hays and Mountcastle. Mullins' injury this robbed him of necessary at-bats. I could be wrong, but I see him more of a call-up towards the back end of next season at best.

I don't see Trump as a viable option at DH or in the corner outfield and not sure how that happens unless Congress approves it (Executive Order doesn't apply in this case)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05119567934749982333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-30382074172415480042017-07-31T11:11:30.428-04:002017-07-31T11:11:30.428-04:00"as we’ve discussed before on this site, ther..."as we’ve discussed before on this site, there isn’t anything in the high minors ready to contribute next year"

Won't Chance Sisco be ready by next season? That's a Joseph/Sisco rotation at catcher; If he isn't ready to catch, he can play DH with Trump/Ricard/Manchini rotating a Corner outfield spot. I also wouldn't count out a Cedric Mullins call up.

I agree with Trading Britton, but it doesn't appear as if teams are going to give up a worthy package for him. The O's should NOT accept anything less than at least two top prospects in return. An elite lefty reliever like Britton could be the difference in a World Series.
