Insofar as your readership is concerned, it may be that the blog is a welcome alternative to the usual fare (or perhaps it just me).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-81779201450596523552011-09-19T17:10:33.945-04:002011-09-19T17:10:33.945-04:00I really wish I knew more about how the O's FO...I really wish I knew more about how the O's FO approaches statistical analysis. From what I've read, they are kind of behind the times.

While the A's advantages became less and less as other teams caught up with them, it seems that the gap for teams not following their lead became larger and larger.

Again, I don't actually know how much analysis is going on in the O's FO, but it seems like they are playing a game that most teams have left behind.Chris in Hawaiinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-29336409872516357812011-09-18T10:53:45.818-04:002011-09-18T10:53:45.818-04:00I started this blog five or so years ago to be a r...I started this blog five or so years ago to be a repository of my thoughts. It enables me to see where I was, where I am, and the thought processes I took to get here. I write this for me and always have. I find it flattering that so many are interested in my experiences, people I know, and my ideas relating to baseball.

When I started this there were several blogs that are no more. One is the blog I replaced on ESPN called Weaver's Tantrum. I assume like him and many of the others who have disappeared...it is difficult to write on a daily basis while remaining interesting and grammatically correct. These things take time and as family and work obligations grow...the pastime of writing recedes in importance.

If the occasional post with grammatical concerns is an issue then this might not be the best place to look for information about the Orioles and baseball in general. I may write professionally, but I do not for baseball. Therefore, my editing process is condensed and sometimes nonexistent.

I feel completely OK about that. Although, I am sorry how these comments are expanding upon grammar as opposed to the actual ideas in the above post. That disappoints me.Jon Shepherdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03521809778977098687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-72539047968555231932011-09-18T10:29:07.309-04:002011-09-18T10:29:07.309-04:00It is one thing to have an error or two, but havin...It is one thing to have an error or two, but having multiple ones makes it a difficult read. You can often tell when work becomes hectic because my writing is rougher and I don't do my normal re-edit.

I hope though that the information is getting across. I hope the comments section spurns discussion more so than a tendency to critique grammar no matter how much I deserve to be critiqued.Jon Shepherdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03521809778977098687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-90011188503420221552011-09-17T11:24:40.153-04:002011-09-17T11:24:40.153-04:00Interesting read, by my goodness does it need a pr...Interesting read, by my goodness does it need a proofread. The Oriole Wayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16483309131692836436noreply@blogger.com
