Morales seemed like a guy with some talent and a lot of versatility having started, relieved, and closed. A little bit of an improvement over TJ.Rogernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-88328940363969936972016-03-30T19:18:47.720-04:002016-03-30T19:18:47.720-04:00Congrats?Congrats?Matt Kremnitzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15693430925266947705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-48288927982198222552016-03-30T17:26:07.268-04:002016-03-30T17:26:07.268-04:00I formally declare victory on Miguel Gonzalez. Wilson has a higher upside than you think (or than the numbers suggest) because of his precision and consistency. He has earned the starting slot. Wright is too inconsistent. Sure do think the O's ought to pick up Franklin Morales.

Also, Kim is certainly going to the minors. They are already talking about how to do it within the bounds of the contract. I think he will come around but he. too, needs to show some consistency to be given an opportunity. Roch had a story on both of these guys.Rogernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-54359454932790886702016-03-29T14:38:24.561-04:002016-03-29T14:38:24.561-04:00I don't have a great handle on Worley, and I&#...I don't have a great handle on Worley, and I'm not sure the O's will even keep him around. I'd give Wilson the nod over Wright, if only because Wright's move to the bullpen seems inevitable. He should be given another chance to start consistently, but it just seems like it's going to happen. Getting anything above average from any of those three would be a bonus.Matt Kremnitzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15693430925266947705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-23500185080175147062016-03-29T13:41:28.773-04:002016-03-29T13:41:28.773-04:00Please don't misunderstand me. I am not suggesting that the Orioles should get rid of him so soon, but it is certainly looking as if they will get rid of him, because, as has been suggested, Dan does not know what he is doing on the international market.Pipnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-54003509612931553622016-03-29T12:59:50.601-04:002016-03-29T12:59:50.601-04:00Sorry Pip, it's too ealry on Kim!Sorry Pip, it's too ealry on Kim!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-30796212533666832692016-03-29T12:27:57.986-04:002016-03-29T12:27:57.986-04:00I don't know how interesting it would be to wr...I don't know how interesting it would be to write something long on Duquette. We are pretty outspoken to varying degrees that we think he inherited the core players from the previous regime, that Buck improves the club by a few games which would change how people think about Duquette otherwise, that he puts little attention on amateur scouting, and that he ignores international scouting. We have repeatedly hit on the subject of you better enjoy things now because a long winter is coming. I mean, I think I wrote that last summer expicitly.Jon Shepherdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03521809778977098687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893512317902577458.post-75274341818090408672016-03-29T12:26:31.717-04:002016-03-29T12:26:31.717-04:00Ha!

With no one left to trade, it's going to be a frustrating season. Watching us lose 2-1 when no O's hitter can make contact. Watching us lose 7-6 despite coming back from 6-1 after 3.

Worse yet is with the emptying of the farm system, for players no longer in the organization, we have all of out hope in the trio of Bundy/Gausman/Harvey. IF they fail, we are staring at another long losing streak.dpsmith22noreply@blogger.com
